This page contains the prices of whole pasteurised "spot" milk from countries outside Italy, as determined by the Commission appointed by the Milano Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce * and in relation to the following varieties:
The table shows the ten most recent prices, whereas the graphs to the side illustrate the price trends occurred over the past three years. Furthermore, are also available a time series which show the monthly average prices over the past years.

* The Milano Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce records the prices of goods traded between companies that, in terms of trading volume, play an important role in the local economy. The Chamber specifically appoints Technical Commissions to carry out the assessments on its behalf. The prices shown on this page are purely informative and are to be interpreted as indicative of the average market values over the specified period.

The term whole pasteurised "spot" milk from countries outside Italy refers to the milk (standardised to 3.6% fat content, stored in bulk tanks and CIF delivery to dairies in Northern Italy) from Germany and France. Volumes of this type of milk are not traded through annual or long-term contracts.
The market for this type of milk product is closely linked to seasonality in terms of both production and consumption.
It is important to note that the availability of whole pasteurised "spot" milk from countries outside Italy is indicative of the demand trend for the product (influenced by factors such as increased UHT milk/fresh cheese consumption or raw milk shortages in autumn).

Prior to 31/12/2005, milk prices were determined in Euro/1000 litres; since 01/01/2006, prices have been in Euro/1000kg. CLAL publishes prices in Euro/100 litres in order to compare them with farm-gate milk prices in Lombardy (Italy's largest milk-producing region), where prices are agreed between the parties (Industry and Agriculture) in Euro/100 litres.
Calculation to convert the price of:
- whole milk from Euro/1000kg to Euro/100 litres: Price x 1.031:10
- skimmed milk from Euro/1000kg to Euro/100 litres: Price x 1.035:10
